Rhubarb Crisp Cross Finished

I have finally finished tatting this cross. Thanks to those of you who voted. After several test tats on ideas with DH advising against them, I worked out and tatted this Celtic border. It was a lot of work getting all the way around and decreasing ds in the bends to make it flat. I think I made the right choice and I am very proud of it.

Now, back to tatting hearts. I'm going to try and design some more. Whether or not they make it into the round robin, I don't know. I got my first envelope yesterday and I have to decide what kind and color of heart to tat for it.

As usual, thanks to Marilee for this lovely hand dyed thread called Rhubarb Crisp.

Wow Laura, that's stunning, even without the delicious thread. beautifully tatted.

You are getting way too clever!!
The outer row is the cream on the rhubarb crisp!

There is no stopping your talents now. Keep it up and write up your patterns.

Well I'm not a cross person but yours is stunning and it would certainly tempt me to tat it. I think the celtic edging finishes it off a treat. Without it it was sorta ornery. Well done.

Laura, You should be very proud of yourself. You have done an amazing job tatting this cross and I love the choice of the Celtic border to finish it, perfect choice. You now have a beautiful piece to go with your doily. Your choice of colours to go with the rhubarb crisp match 100% and the HDT just makes it WOW.

Thank you all so much. I am glad that you like the cross and agree that I made the right choice. I usually try to respond to each comment, but Blogger has had it in for me lately. I appreciate all of you. I think I will take my "creamy rhubarb crisp" to "candy land" and stay there with it!
