Tatted Christmas Tree from Be-stitched newsletter

No, I haven't given up on snowflakes. I just wanted to try this little tree. Especially as it can also be a bookmark and other useful things. It is from the Be-stitched newsletter which can be found at www.be-stitched.com

It was quick tatting and would be very pretty with beads - either tatted in or added on. I also think it would be sweet with "snow" on the branches made with little seed beads or pearls.

I've not stiffened anything this year, but I will have to do some of them next year. This one will definitely have to be stiffened to hang on the tree. I used DMC Cebelia size 20 and it is a bit soft.

I wish for all of you a Happy New Year. Be sure you do lots of tatting tomorrow and New Year's Day to start the year off right!

I still want to get to this one. Yours is lovely! How big is it?

Thanks Gina. I don't have it in front of me, but I think it's about 3 to 3 1/2" in size 20.

Hi Laura, the Christmas tree is pretty but if you tatted it in "leafy" or "fern" thread from Marilee or other variegated green thread it would be a nice addition to your rainbow tree. Just a thought.

Thanks Clyde. I think I will do it in "leafy" next. There's no telling what color/colors I might come up with. It is a rainbow tree after all! Hey, that's funny! I just realized I could put a rainbow tree on a rainbow tree! How slow am I?
