Snowflake Rose #5 in Berries "N" Cream

Tatting this snowflake in Sherry Pence hand dyed Berries "N" Cream thread was so much fun! Clyde had suggested that patterns with lots of chains, especially long ones, were great for tatting with hand dyed thread and he was right. I am so glad that Sherry had an extra skein for me!

The thread is still size 20 and the pattern is from Denise Munoz's book.

I'll ask Karl to scan this one in for me on Thursday, but I couldn't wait until then to post it!

Beautiful snowflake with beautiful thread! Please keep posting, snowflakes or otherwise. You are one of my inspirations, I would wander off to something non-creative if you all quit posting your work that I try to work up to.

Thank you Kelly. I will keep posting because there is no way I can stop tatting and right now that seems to be snowflakes! I am humbled that you consider me one of your inspirations. Thank you and please don't give up!

I am so glad you like it! I've got big plans for the rest of it and the other color. It is working out real well using DMC as the core thread!

I love it. There is nothing like tatting that is done with hand dyed thread. The way the colours showed up is amazing.

mmmm...lucious, like a yummy snocone in the heat of summer. Love the way this thread looks.

Thanks Gina, but the credit really goes to Sherry. Without this hand dyed thread, it would just be a snowflake instead of a yummy snocone!
