Here is what I hope is the refined, properly lined up starfish. The pattern is not ready yet, but will be soon. I have a wonderful "helper", (more teacher really), who is guiding me through some mistakes I had in the pattern.
I'm hoping to tat another one tomorrow in a more "starfish" color. This is Lady Shuttle Maker's hand dyed thread "Citrus" in size 20. (I think that's the name. I bought it a long time ago and I'm not sure.) It might look as if it belongs in a Disney movie instead of under the sea, but I like it anyway.

Nah--perfect color! It looks like an Australian Velvet Sea Star, or the Oreaster reticulatus. I can hardly wait for the pattern.
That's soo cool! It looks very much like the real stuff!
Laura, your starfish is beautiful! I love Disney movies, and I think it matches Ariel's hair!
Thanks Marty and Omansan! You recognized an Australian Velvet Sea Star in my little baby? Cool! I googled sea stars after I posted the picture and found out they come in almost every color. Oh, the possibilities!
The colour is perfect for a starfish and I think you are very generous to be sharing the pattern.
It's very pretty and really does look like a star fish. I like the color. It's a great pattern that could just be a star with other colors if you wanted with beads...awesome. I can't wait to tat it.
Thank you Clyde and Tattingchic. I will be honored to share and have others tat my pattern. It would make a beautiful star with beads. I just have to find the right combination!
I hope you don't mind me posting again... but ooohhhh, I can't wait to see you do it in beads...pinks or any pastels, turquoises, or even eye popping colors like lime green and turquoise (like yarnplayers latest earrings) and stuff almost anything would look good oh, with different sized beads. WOW I want to tat that....! YUMMY!!
Fantastic! Great color choice! What more can I say?...I love it and you are very generous to share the pattern.
Well done Lala!
Tattingchic, your enthusiasm is contagious! So many ideas and possibilities. Thanks Sherry. I'm glad you like the pattern and what I did with your thread! It's so good to see your comments!
