Oh, Laura, those vintage purses are so beautiful. What precious heirlooms, too. I'm glad you showed them, they are a lovely family treasure.
The purses are beautiful Laura but I would not say that you are an antique.
Your purses are so pretty! I have a kit for making one around here somewhere...
These are gorgeous Lala! You are lucky to have them and you are NOT an antique...I scoff that!
These look very Art Deco...are they from the 20's/30's???
Wow, they are classic, just the thing for a classy lady!
These vintage purses are so lovely. You have a part of history that is gone but not forgotten. Madeline
Thanks everybody. They really are treasures. I'm just teasing about being an antique. It always gets laughs for Jane, so I thought I would try it! Diane, do you have a kit to make one like this?
Lady Shuttle Maker, I am trying to find out what era they are. I wish I had asked more questions and written down the answers. I was thinking further back than that, but I'm not sure. Thanks for the Classy comment Pamela! No, Madeline it is not forgotten!
I was looking through some of the printouts from the Antique Pattern Library that I have while sorting this weekend and one of them was almost exclusively beaded bags along this line. They were crocheted, I think, but I must have put them in a safe place because I can't seem to lay my hands on it easily now. These bags are beautiful!

These are from the mid 1920's. They are enameled mesh dress purses, and the handles may be silver plate. I'm an old costumer and I have some of these myself, my grandmother's. I love mine too!
Thank you Gina. I hope you find your pattern in your safe place. If you do, will you see if any of my stuff is hiding there too? LOL
Thank you so much for the information SandraE. I'm glad you have your grandmother's too!
