Oh my goodness these are GORGEOUS!! I love the patterns and the colors are fantastic!! I MUST buy some of those threads!! They just POP!
Thank you Arlene. I am so happy with them and can't wait to make more. The threads are definitely the key. There is no way I could have achieved this affect with any other threads. You HAVE to buy some.
What a beautiful display! Thank you for showing them all this way... very inspirational!
Thanks for showing them all together it makes a neat way to compare the differences between the plain ones and the ones made with hand dyed threads. Wow what a difference now you can understand my addiction to hand dyed threads.
Thanks Diane. I always aspire to inspire!
Clyde, it does show the difference well, doesn't it? I totally understand you addiction, and mine!
Laura,
I think you and Clyde are terrific HDT cheerleaders! Thank you!
I'll be dyeing some new thread this week too!
These would make the most beautiful kaleidoscopes!
or suncatchers..
:-) Gina
Wow...those flakes are so pretty!! I love all of your colors too. What size thread did you make your flakes in. They are so pretty. I hope you still have them hanging around somewhere in your home.
Sherry, you deserve the cheerleading. I can't wait to see the new threads!
Gina, I never thought of kaleidoscops or suncatchers See how much I need all of you!
Sherry Dream Weaver, thanks so much. They are all size 20. There is some DMC Cebelia and some Flora, but mostly Lady Shuttlemaker's and Yarnplayer's hand dyed threads. I'm going to have to take in other people's laundry to feed my addiction! I haven't decided what I'm going to do to display them until next Christmas. My husband said I could keep the tree up, but I don't want it or the snowflakes to get all yellow with dust or grease from the kitchen so I took it down after I made all of the pictures. I'll let you all know when I figure it out.
Good morning, Laura! I've tagged you for the You Make My Day Award. If you're interested in participating, the information is on my blog. Diane
Wow, and wow! So much beautiful tatting - great pictures. You do beautiful work, and thanks for the hand dyed thread promo!
They look absolutely scrumptious displayed together.
You must be very proud of your achievement.
If they were mine I wouldn't be able to stop looking at them.
Thank you Pamela. I am proud of them. Obviously I can't stop looking at them. There are under glass on my end table by where I sit. I just can't take my eyes off of them!
I hope you find this message,,,I know I see about a week ago, where someone did a doily using the technique you used in the center of most of your doilies. I'm thinking (hoping anyway) that I have that book with the pattern, but for the life of me, can't find it. Can you tell me where you got it please?
I JUST LOVE those snowflakes. I would sure love to one day get some of yarnplayer's hand dyes threads, if nothing else just to try.
Great work!!!!
