I have been wanting to paint for a long while now. I decided this was a good time. Mandevilla is one of my very favorite plants. I always have them blooming on my back deck in the summer and fall. I hope the bright colors bring a smile to your face! By the way, the blooms smell like Easter Peeps candy!
These other pictures are of my bedroom and the Rhubarb Pie tatting I have in there.
I "LOVE" Mandevilla! A couple years ago I bought a couple and they are just gorgeous. Mine can't winter outside though so I have to try to keep them inside(which usually doesn't quite happen right) or buy new ones the next summer. Your painting is awesome! All of your lovely tatting compliaments the colors of your bedroom. LOVE the dresser, it has a marble top too? I've never seen one like that before! Beautiful! love, sy
Your painting is gorgeous! Mandevilla is one of my favorite flowers, too!!! I love the blossoms and the vining-ness of it (I know that's not a word, LOL!). The bedroom is beautiful! Wow, that dresser is lovely and your tatted pieces look so nice on the wall! :)
Thank you Lady Shuttle Maker. I just love my bedroom. It is fresh and peaceful! Glad you like the painting. Hi Sy. Another Mandevilla lover. Yea! Aren't they wonderful? Mine can't winter outside either. I have a bright room in the basement where my plants and trees winter. Glad you like the painting. I had fun doing it. I love my rhubarb pie tatting in my room. The dresser is a lovely heirloom from my great-aunt. Yes, it is marble. The antique appraiser said it was "East Lake." ??? Ooh, Tatting Chic loves Mandevilla too! That is a perfect made up word for it! Glad you like the room too. It is very peaceful to me.
Thank you Diane. I'm glad you get to enjoy Mandevilla there! Even Bill says he is impressed with the painting and the room. That is high praise indeed!
Your lovely painting looks like it could be an illustration in a botanical book. I don't know that flower, but now that I've seen your painting, for sure if I ever do see one I'll be able to recognize it!
((((HI Laura))))) First off I want to say that I'm glad surgery went well and I hope you have a quick recovery. I'll be thinking about you and praying for you.
Your bedroom is lovely. I can see why you like the Rhubarb Pie HDT so much. What a nice addition all your tatted pieces in this color look in your bedroom. And I love your antique dresser with the marble top. I have always been drawn to pieces like this when I am in antique stores. I wish I had room for a piece like this.
You are so talented, the Mandevilla painting is Gorgeous!! The color and detail of the picture are wonderful and the painting looks perfect for your room.
Take care and I'm sending healing thoughts your way!! Take Care!
Thank you Clyde. I'm glad you like my picture. I am very happy with my rhubarb pie colored room. Thank you so much, Yarnplayer. That means a lot coming from one so talented. A botanical illustration is the exact look I was trying to achieve. That makes me feel so good! I wanted to put the Latin designation on the painting, but Bill thought it would be better without it. Thanks again. Thank you Madeline. I'm glad you like the painting and the tatting in my room. You'll have to come over soon and see it in person! Thank Bonnie. I am so pleased you like the painting. I had such fun doing it. Glad you like my rhubarb pie tatting too. I have to bribe Marilee to dye some more!
Thank you for your well wishes for my surgery, Carol. I am so glad to have wonderful friends like you backing me up! I'm glad you like my room. It has taken me a long time to get it just right. I inherited the dresser from a great aunt and I think it is perfect. I am so pleased with my painting and it makes me feel good that others are as well. I love my mandevilla! The color of the painting works in so well with Marilee's Rhubarb Pie which is my favorite thread of all time. It's a good thing I like the room so well as that's where I spend 90% of my time now! Thanks for your prayers. Thank you Aim. Mandevilla is a summer, potted plant here as well. I move mine inside to a cool place during the winter and then back out in the spring. Glad you like the tatting!

The painting of the mandevilla is very nice and the rhubarb pie thread tatting decorates your bedroom in cheery colours.
