Celtic Teapot by Martha Ess

Martha's book, "Tea is for Tatting", is wonderful! I had so much fun tatting this Celtic Teapot. I learned new things and hope I got them right. I think there are a couple of places that could have been smoother, but I'm pleased with it. I'm not altogether pleased with my color choices, but I think it will work in my bedroom with all of the Rhubarb Pie. The light pink and green are Flora size 20. The darker rose, almost red, is a hand dyed solid from Marilee's Rhubarb Pie.

If you haven't ordered the book, I hope that you will have the opportunity to.

Hi Laura! Nice to see you posting. Love the teapot. I don't see anything wrong with the colors at all. The red is a nice contrast to the Celtic sections. The book is fantastic! I have to complete a couple UFOs I have going before I start on a teapot, though.

Thanks Clyde. The pattern did take a lot of close attention, but wasn't difficult. My bedroom is going to be very colorful!
Thank you Diane. You better remember your split rings. You had a great teacher! LOL

Thank you Miss Rhea. I never thought about putting teapots on a tree. You are so clever! I can see it too. Happy belated Easter to you too.
Hi Steph. Good to be posting. Glad you like the teapot and the colors. I like it better now that it is finished and blocked. The book IS great. I have one UFO too, but it is hard to put this book down!
Thanks Valerie. Just pop around and we will have a cuppa!
Thank you Madeline. Your support is priceless.
I hope you do get around to them soon, Gina. They are wonderful.
Thank you Tatskool. I'm so glad you like it. The beauty is it looks difficult, but it wasn't as long as I was careful to keep my place on the pattern.

I agree with everyone, the colors you used look so pretty. I was wondering what is the finished size of this teapot in size 20? I have seen a few people post this teapot, and it is my favorite. I am going to order this book, I love all the teapots everyone is posting.

Hope you are feeling well. I have been thinking about you lately.

Take Care!

Thanks Celtic Dream Weaver. I'll check your blog for more pictures.
Thank you Carol. The teapot is 4.25" wide and 3.25" tall. I'm sorry I always forget to measure things. I hope you do get the book soon. It is so much fun. I am doing okay. All systems go for surgery soon. Thank you for your good thoughts.
