It's almost a tragedy to have so many choices huh? I am always amazed to see 20 and 80 together....so cool!
Wow! That is quite a size difference, and much more noticeable than any difference in how the colors play out. It seems the distance between colors is relative to the diameter of the thread. Where is Einstein when I need him?!!
Come again, Yarnplayer, I am confused myself.
I don't know how you mark the length for the colour change when you do the HDTs, but my simple reasoning is a double stitch in fine thread uses a shorter length of thread compared to a double stitch made with a thicker thread. I think that is why the colour graduation is different in the 80 compare to the 20. Just my 2-cents worth.
Either way, Tattycat, I love both of them. Too bad I don't have this beautiful pattern. I would have made one myself.
It is a burden we must carry Lady Shuttle Maker!
I was amazed at the difference Yarnplayer. If you find Einstein, I need him when you are finished!
Your explanation sounds good to me Jon. Maybe I don't need Einstein, I just need you! We'll have to see if we can find you Mary's book!
Laura, they look so pretty next to each other! I love that we can all see the size difference. I can't wait to finish my Christmas presents so I can start tatting for me!
It is amazing to see the differences between the two. I don't know Laura but for me there will never be too many HDT choices.
Thanks Diane. I like seeing them together as well. Will you ever get selfish enough to tat for yourself? You are so giving of your time and talent!
Clyde the differences are amazing in many ways. I agree with you that there will never be too many choices of hdt.
Thank you for putting the 2 sizes next to each other. Some day I hope to be able to create in size 80 but I've got to make time to practice, practice, practice :-)
