Presenting "Georgia's Rose"

This rose is inspired by, and dedicated to, Georgia Seitz, (AKTATTER). We all know how much Georgia has meant to the tatting community. I owe her an awful lot. Her's was the first book I bought after my initial "Tatsy" book which finally taught me the "flip." She inspired me with the 3D rose concept and didn't stop "urging" me along until I accomplished it. Thank you Georgia!

This is one of the things I had to keep secret for so long and I am so pleased to be able to show it to you now. The booklet with this pattern, and many others, can be purchased by emailing Teresa at:

mailto:tattingteresa@gmail.com

The name of the booklet is "Flowers of Lace Put a Smile On Your Face." It was part of this year's fundraiser at Palmettos Days.

I hope you will enjoy it.

By the way, it is also a snowflake. That's how it originally started. It is hanging on my Rainbow Tree right now, along with a couple of prototypes.

Oh, Laura, that is absolutely exquisite! What a gorgeous design! So appropriate for Georgia, too! You have such a lovely, artistic soul. I am proud to call you my friend.

Looks like it would be a great snowflake. It will make a lovely pin as well. I'm looking forward to getting the book.

This is gorgeous! My favorite is the one on top, with the white and darker green added, but both versions are stunning. I like the 3-dimensional quality, the colors, and the natural, "organic" look. I agree with victats that it would make a lovely pin.

Thanks Tattingchic. I am very proud of it. I thought it appropriate for Georgia. I just popped into my head. I am proud to call you my friend too.
Victats, it is a great snowflake and would make a lovely pin. I do hope you get the book.
I'm clever? Thank you Tatskool!
Thank you Lady Shuttle Maker. It has been so difficult for me to keep this under wraps!
Thank you Yarnplayer. I like the one with the babies breath too. It really looks nice as a spray as well. "Organic" is a good description. Wish I'd thought of that! Ooh, the spray would make a gorgeous pin!

Hello Laura, I have looked many times at your tated Georgia Rose. I absolutely love your Georgia Rose. I have tried and still have not learned how to tat. I am creating a Crazy Quilt to celebrate our marriage and the name of it is Hearts and Roses. I would love a tatted Georgia Rose to put on it. Is there anyone you know that may make a tatted Georgia Rose and sell them???? if you do would you let me know. Thanks Judy in Very Wintery Michigan

CJ, I'm glad you like my Georgia's Rose. Your crazy quilt sounds very special and I am honored that you want my rose to go on it. I will check with a couple of people who might be interested in tatting it for you.
