Birthday Shopping!

I've had fun with my birthday money as you can see! I've got my first Iris Niebach book, as recommended by Dianne. Can't wait to get into it.

I have my first silk hand dyed thread from Lady Shuttle Maker in size 100. The colors are Pensacola Beach, Weeping Cherry and Royalty. (I hope I got them in order of the picture.) She has already told me to unwind gently and that they are like tatting with "Angel Hair."

Then, you see Yarnplayer's Purple Punch hand dyed thread size 80 and a pair of her earrings that you tat onto. There is a link to a pattern to use. Yumm!

Last, but certainly not least, one of Jane's Roly Poly Bags! I love the color and the paisley. It came yesterday and I think it is so pretty. It has the nicest personalized tag inside that says it was handmade in England by Jane Eborall.

There is one more surprise to come.......

I love it when hubby and my girls give me shopping money for my birthday!

Well now, if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise. Would it? A hint is it will fit perfectly in my husband's favorite decorating scheme!

Wow you are going to tat with size 100. Just think 8 months ago you told us you could never tat with size 80. I am like you for my birthday I like money to buy tatting things and it is coming soon. I can't wait.

What fun things! Those look like things I would get if I had birthday money to spend! I look forward to seeing what else you get and what you tat with it all! How fun!

Lovely birthday presents! Which doily will you tat first? May I recommend HDT? ; )

Oh man! you lucky lucky girl! now I need to rewind to my birthday as well.

What do you plan to tat with the silk thread? I am a little scared if I'd be able to use silk in tatting, since it should be really delicate.

Sherry is very innovative to think of this new treasure.

I am waiting for the other surprise!

Hey, maybe my mysterious package was from you! Or Dianne is sending out hypnotic brainwashing...LOL
I also ordered some thread from Sherry, which you can be sure I will show! Great minds think alike?
;)

Now, now Clyde. I'm going to TRY to tat with size 100! No promises. I hope I can. Birthday money is the best.
Great minds do think alike Tattingchic. I'm sure we would buy lots of the same things.
Diane, you most certainly can recommend HDT, but I dont' know which one I will tat first. Which one do you think is easiest?
Thanks Sapna. I am lucky and excited. I don't know yet what I will tat with the silk. I am a bit apprehensive as well. I've got to get these rough hands smooothed out before I try. I don't want to mess it up. Sherry is very innovative and talented, yes.
I know it wasn't from me, Snowy. It could very well be Diane's hypnotic brainwashing. She is good at that! Please do show us when you get your thread from Sherry. As I told Tattingchic, great minds do think alike. It will be interesting to see if we ordered the same colors!

Oh you are such a lucky tatter. I love all your gifts and can not wait to see what you'll tat from that Angel Hair.

Thank you Dantatter. I did have good birthday luck. I have two things in mind for the silk. I won't be able to do anything big as I only bought one skein of each until I see if I can tat with it successfully. Bookmarks and snowflakes are probably where I will start - things that only require one shuttle and a ball thread so I won't waste too much hopefully!
