Hmmm....I don't think it's too heavy on the outside. It will be a wonderful addition to the collection...which by the way..I keep coming back to look at the photo... I may be a tad envious.
It looks lovely, I know what you mean about beads making it too heavy, I gave up with beads on tatting because it always seemed to go all floppy! (but I tend towards the finest of threads...)
Now I wonder why you are going to tat a tree frog!!
I was thinking of doing one too as I am in green mode!
Wow!!!how lovely. You have to bring this one so I can see it for real. Madeline
Oh, Oh, HDT and now beads. Look out tatting world here comes Laura.
Sherry, I'm glad you don't think it's too heavy. Maybe it just go too heavy for me while I was tatting it! Don't envy, tat snowflakes!
Thanks Snowy. I don't like the flopping around while I am tatting either, but I usually like the look when I finish.
Gee,Pamela, I wonder why a tree frog too! Alas, I got ruby red beads and I should have gotten more orangy ones.
Thanks Madeline. I will bring it tomorrow morning.
Thanks for warning the tatting world Clyde! I might be dangerous!
you know, I think "heaviness" depends on what you plan to use it for. It looks fine to me, but hanging it as an ornament might not work without some heavy duty stiffening to hold the beads in place. As a flat piece on something,or perhaps in a bangle, that shouldn't be an issue.
I do have some snowflakes given to me in exchanges that were heavily beaded and they really don't hang well but that just means I have to find a more creative way to display them!

Gina. Great information. I had planned to hang it on my tree. Maybe I can find a bangle to put it in. That would be great. I'm not sure I could ever stiffen it enough without one. I need to think more creatively!!
