I wanted to share these pictures with you here in case you don't go to my story blog. This is a picture of my grandparents house. We lived here part of my childhood and the rest of it, next door to here. It was the most special place in the world.
Here is what was left after the freeway moved us out. Go to I REMEMBER for the story if you want to read it.

Thanks for sharing a little bit of your childhood.
Steps to Nowhere. How sad that sounds.
You are welcome Madeline. I hope you enjoyed it.
Yes, Marty. It was, and is, sad.
Laura, my grandmother Burns lived on 66th and Division Avenue for perhaps over 40 years. Mom Dad & me and sibs lived with her when I was small...I remember a lot of the same things that you do...like Contri Brothers grocery store, and Grayson's Spinning Wheel Ice Cream with the polar bear statues? I think my grandfather built that ice cream place. And the East Lake Library, and of course, East Lake Park and walking around the lake....memories! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Printmaker Rachel. I'm so glad to hear from you and that you enjoyed so many of the same things that I did. What wonderful memories we have! I wish my children and grandchild could experience these things. Maybe they will have even better memories, but I doubt it!
