This is my favorite Spring Blossom snowflake in Apple Blossom. I used variegated thread on both shuttles for the first round. Then for the second round, I used one with the darkest pink for the outside and variegated for the inside rings. I could have used the shoelace trick to make the chains going up to the trefoils in the pink, but I think it looks nice this way. Way to go on dyeing this thread Tatskool and thanks to Jon Faizon for her wonderful snowflake designs.

This is just beautiful.
Beautiful!
Lovely! Will you have a "Jon Snowflake" tree this year?
Ooooh preeeeetty! I can see why it's your fave.

Spring Time Blossom Snowflake is so lovely, especially in the Apple Blossom colors. I bought some of this with matching colors. I haven't used it yet, but now I'm itching to try it out. The colors are so soft and delicate. I haven't done much tatting in the last week. I had such a bad cold, I'm just now feeling better. Hugs, Carol
This spring blossom snowflake really took my breath away. It is so beautiful!
Do you have suggestions or tips for using HDTs with this or other snowflakes? I have a few colorways that I have been hoarding/saving for a really fun project. You have inspired me. Now I am itching to try them out on snowflakes.
Absolutely beautiful snowflake. I can't wait ti see your rainbow Christmas tree this year it is going to be a knock out.
Divine, Tattycat, simply divine....now why don't I have any of this thread left!!! It's the only one that I didn't repeat this year.
Very nice!
Thank you Madeline and Fox!
Thanks Diane. I guess I have gotten caught up with Jon's snowflakes, but they are so lovely. No, there will be other snowflakes on the tree!
Thank you Tatting Chic. I just really like the way it turned out.
Thanks Carol. I just love this colorway. Sorry you haven't been able to do much tatting. I hope you cold will be gone soon. Big hugs!
Thank you Isdihara. I am glad to have inspired you to tat snowflakes with your HDT. My first tip, is USE THE THREAD. It is so much fun. The second is, try to know how much thread you need on eah shuttle before you begin. You can either tat it first in regular thread to see how much you need or check with others to see how much thread they used. Tatskool is very good about telling how much thread she used on each shuttle or component of her tatted pieces. I do sometimes, but I'm bad to forget. A lot of times, I also mix Flora or Cebelia with the HDT to make it go further. Like doing the rings in one and the chains in the other. If there is anything else I can help with, email me at lblanton2750 at charter dot net.
Thank you Clyde. I hope I'm not overloading my Rainbow Christmas Tree. It would be terrible if I had to buy a bigger tree. LOL
Thanks Tatskool. I'm glad you like how I used your thread. I can't believe you didn't repeat it. Better get to the dyeing studio before it gets too cold!
Thanks Bonnie!
