I tatted Susan's button heart again - properly this time. I used Lady Shuttle Maker's Easter Egg HDT again with another of my grandmother's buttons. This one is a pretty lilac color that is irridescent. The scans of the tatting with buttons haven't been good, so I used the camera for this one. I wish there was some way I could make the bottons show up better. Oh well. You get the general idea.
This is a great pattern that I think would be good for beginner's who want a little more challenge.
The thread suits the pattern well, it does look Easter Eggish, don't know why.
ReplyDeleteTatted perfectly too.
Don't forget to write up the starfish pattern!! please.
Hi Pamela. I'm glad you like it. I'll work on the starfish pattern tonight!
ReplyDeleteAnother pretty one. Madeline
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! What a wonderful way to use up your Grandmother's buttons. I have a jar of old buttons that belonged to my Mother....hmmmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! You are so lucky to have heirloom buttons to match with your HDT. Come to think of it, I have quite a few buttons too... just not from my grandmother!
ReplyDeleteVery easter-looking indeed! Now, I'm working with sequins, but they may be interchangable with buttons if we can get the sizes.
ReplyDeleteThe button is a perfect match to the thread and your tatting is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe thread really compliments the button. Good choice!
