Tatting Withdrawal!
Still no tatting for me. My migraines have been bad the past week and just won't let me do anything! I hope to be back to myself, however pitiful that is, soon!

Candace's Wedding Lace Refined by Sharon
Thank you, thank you, thank you Sharon! This is it - finally. I couldn't have do it without you. I really think this will be the final version and make it onto the hanky as soon as I decide what thread is best. Sharon used the same basic shape I tatted first, made it smoother and added the corner for me. I am so excited!

Poncho for Mom in Law
Friday, November 17, 2006
Now, this is scary!
Horror of horrors! I guess I'm going to be taking some short breaks from tatting! I went to a new knit shop with my mother-in-law today. It was yarn heaven. She saw a beautiful knitted poncho that she just had to have. The yarn, (Fezy, Cozy from Turkey, Color #37), is yummy and I really wanted to work with it, so I purchased it and came home and got started. It won't take very long at all, but I miss my tatting already. I might have to take turns tatting and knitting. What's the hurry, anyway. It's her Christmas present. I've got a month! I will keep you posted as I progress through my knitting imposed tatting fast!

Tatted Motif #18 of 25
Well, maybe if I stretch it out and pin it down and starch it..... I like the idea, but the beads are much too big and make it crowded in the center. I couldn't find the beads that I wanted so, being the impatient being that I am, I just used these cheap silver colored beads. I will post another picture after I do all of that tomorrow. Too tired tonight!
I would really like to make this work for tree ornaments.

Motif #17 of 25
This is Sue Hanson's Celtic 5 point motif. It is tatted in 6 colors of DMC Cebelia and was sooo much fun! I think I will try it next with red and green beads for Christmas. Yes, I'm getting ambitious!
I'm not going to count this one in the 25 Motif Challenge as it has an obvious mistake! Guess that's okay for the first try.

Candace's Wedding Lace
I am trying to design an edging for my daughter's wedding. This is what I came up with last night. It is not attached to this hanky. I will have to find another one. I just placed it there for effect. It will be in smaller thread and probably white, but I wanted this big, green thread so it would show up for now. Please
let me know if you have seen another edging like this one as I really want it to be my own design.
I got the idea this morning to fasten the two rings together as in this picture. They are just tied together here. Let me know what you think and which one you prefer. Thanks!
